Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 01-09-2026 Last Updated: 01-09-2026

Safe Surgery Care ("Safe Surgery Care," "we," "us," or "our") is a Surgery Care Partner helping patients across Tamil Nadu find the right hospital, right surgeon, and right care. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal data when you use our website, mobile app, WhatsApp channel, or interact with our Health Navigators and Care Partners.

Safe Surgery Care is not a hospital, clinic, lender, bank, or NBFC. We do not provide surgical or medical treatment, and we do not issue loans or EMIs. We coordinate access to independent, verified hospitals and financing partners who deliver these services directly.

This policy is framed in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and other applicable Indian laws.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information necessary to coordinate your surgical care journey, including:

a. Identity and contact information Name, phone number, email address, city, and preferred language.

b. Health-related information Details you or your family share about your medical concern, symptoms, prior diagnosis, reports, or treatment preferences, shared voluntarily so we can help match you with an appropriate hospital and surgeon.

c. Family and caregiver information Where a family member or caregiver contacts us on your behalf, we may collect their name and contact details along with their relationship to you.

d. Financing-related information If you express interest in surgery financing options, we may collect information required to refer you to our financing partners. We do not process loan applications ourselves; this information is shared with the relevant partner only with your consent.

e. Usage information Technical data such as device type, browser, IP address, and how you interact with our website or app, collected through standard analytics tools.

f. Communication records Records of calls, WhatsApp messages, and emails exchanged with our Health Navigators, for quality and continuity of care.

We collect this information directly from you, from family members or caregivers acting on your behalf, or, with your consent, from partner hospitals during the course of coordinating your care.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Understand your surgical care needs and recommend suitable hospitals and surgeons

  • Connect you with hospitals for consultations, second opinions, and appointment scheduling

  • Refer you to third-party financing partners, where you have expressed interest

  • Communicate with you and your family throughout your care journey via phone, WhatsApp, SMS, or email

  • Improve our services, website, and care coordination process

  • Meet legal, regulatory, and grievance-redressal obligations

We do not use your health information for advertising or marketing to third parties, and we do not sell your personal data.

3. How We Share Your Information

We share your information only where necessary to coordinate your care, and only with your consent:

  • Partner hospitals and surgeons, so they can evaluate your case and provide consultation or treatment

  • Financing partners, only if you choose to explore surgery financing options

  • Service providers who support our operations (e.g., cloud storage, communication platforms), bound by confidentiality obligations

  • Legal or regulatory authorities, where required by law

Safe Surgery Care does not control how partner hospitals, surgeons, or financing partners independently use data once it is shared with your consent for their respective services; their own privacy policies will apply to that use.

4. Your Rights Under the DPDP Act, 2023

As a Data Principal, you have the right to:

  • Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is processed

  • Correct or update inaccurate or incomplete personal data

  • Erasure of your personal data, where it is no longer necessary for the purpose it was collected, subject to legal retention requirements

  • Withdraw consent at any time for uses that are based on consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal

  • Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity

  • Grievance redressal through our Grievance Officer, and subsequently with the Data Protection Board of India if unresolved

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 9.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law, whichever is longer. Once no longer needed, data is securely deleted or anonymised.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards — including access controls, encryption in transit, and restricted internal access — to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we encourage you to share sensitive information only through our verified channels.

7. Cookies and Website Data

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, understand site usage, and improve your experience. You can control cookie settings through your browser. Disabling cookies may affect some website features.

8. Children's Data

Our services are intended for use by adults on behalf of themselves or family members, including minors, in the context of coordinating surgical care. Where information about a minor is shared, it is provided by a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for the accuracy of that information and for providing any consent required under the DPDP Act.

9. Grievance Officer and Contact

For questions, corrections, consent withdrawal, or grievances relating to your personal data, contact:

Grievance Officer: Sathish Email: help@safesurgery.care Phone: +91-9500811660 Address: Chennai, Tamil Nadu

We aim to acknowledge grievances within 7 days and resolve them within the timelines prescribed under the DPDP Act.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

11. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India, and any disputes arising from it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Tamil Nadu.
